WHO ARE WE?
Cactus Store (est. 2014) is a plant-owned human-operated creative studio based in Los Angeles & NYC. We’re a cadre of plant obsessives, ecology nerds, landscape designers/ architects, and artists of every stripe who’ve spent the last decade in the cracks between disciplines working on projects that help broker better relationships between humans and the natural world.
Our website gives a good rundown of what we’ve been working on, everything from designing greenhouses and writing books, to making clothes and formulating xeric soils.

WHAT IS THE SPECIMEN MONTHLY?:
What began as a humble one-pager about the goings-on of our studio has since grown into something we are seriously excited about; our very own weirdo ecology newsletter, a place where we tell stories about the complicated relationships between the strange and beautiful plants, humans, rocks, insects, fungi, microbes, etc that have been haunting our dreams. We hope they will haunt yours too.
