We wanted to give you our dear readers a sneak peak at our new installation at DSM LA…. It doesn’t officially open until this weekend, but it might just be unlocked if you stop by tomorrow or Friday…

Nonhuman Teachers Greenhouse at DSM LA
Like if your strange uncle who sings to plants just parked his trailer behind your parent’s mansion…. the NHT greenhouse will be a physical lab for us in LA, tucked along side Dover Street Market in the arts district. We worked with the good folks at USM Haller to create plant mutant plant furniture for the install, which will get added to and evolve as time goes on.
For this version of the install the back structure is the “workshop” and the front is the “greenhouse”. At most greenhouses and botanical gardens the workshop area is closed to the public, but it’s always our favorite place to visit… piles of papers, half finished projects, photo albums, the best plants. Here the door to the workshop is open.
Speaking of plants, for now they aren’t for sale, but clothes and other products are, or you can just come and commune with some strange foliar friends…
Officially opens this weekend.. but we heard if you stop by tomorrow or Friday….
